I’d love to know as well. I wake up anytime between 1 and 4 am..no matter what time I go to bed.

Not everything will be PBC but having said that if you have the itch it generally affects sleep.

No itch, just sleeping issues.

From what I've learned several PBC factors may impact sleep. I've had sleep interrupted by severe itching. Also, there is research out there that suggests people with more advanced PBC may be subject to hepatic encephalopathy which can reverse your sleep rhythm. I was diagnosed with PCB in 2016 and my personal experience is that regardless of the underlying cause, a good night's sleep for me is four hours and then I am awake or sleeping lightly for the remainder of the night. I would recommend discussing with your doctor. There are medicines that may help (Modafanil for example). I've had some improvements as a result of the Modafanil along with a consistent bedtime routine and daily exercise. I hope this helps and best wishes.

My legs move alot. I don't sleep well. I have become personal friends with the sheep I count. Tried melatonin didn't help.
