Cyclosporine post-transplant effects on fingernails.

I am 3y8m post-liver transplant because of PBC liver failure and am immunesuppressed with cyclosporine and everolimus meds. My nails prior to all of this were extremely healthy, but now are splitting, peeling and breaking everyday and there must be a way to bring them back to health. The cyclosporine is notorious for causing this and I’ve asked 4 doctors and dermatologists and none can offer advice. Please let me know if you have suggestions. Much appreciated.

4 years post myself but only on tac. I've used NutraNail to 7 Day Growth aloe formula for years whenever I have a problem. A week of regular use and they are back. Some have said taking biotin will help as well. Congrats on the second chance! Aren't the post things fun :)

Thank you. I’ve seen that and other products online, but don’t know which actually is effective. I have been on biotin for some time. Right after they put me on tacrolimus when I was transplanted I lost 40% of my hair and the biotin has helped with that. But I had to be switched to cyclosporine and it’s awful on the nails.

Thanks again, I’ll give the product a try. You’re an angel!
