How many of you take generic ursodial tablets? And do any of you take from Zydus Pharmaceuticals? Happy New Year!! 🎊🎈🎊

I've never taken ursodiol by Zydus, but, I believe it is a large pharmaceutical company based in India. I've started taking ursodiol by Actavis (it is a generic brand, the company is based in the US and Irland, but, they have manufacturing sites in many other countries). My doctor always puts in the new prescription: Use only Actavis, no substitutes. This way, I always get Actavis pills. If you only want Zydus pills, your prescription should specify it.

I have taken several brands of generic ursodiol, both in capsules and tablets. Make sure you're getting the correct dose (13-15mg/kg of your weight) in whichever form you take it.

Each brand uses their fillers and while some are exactly the same, others differ. Individual negative reactions can occur to these fillers in any one person so if you're not tolerating a specific brand, it might be worth discussing with your doctor if another brand might be appropriate.
