We all wonder why the damage to the bile ducts even happen. The damage, is in part, due to our immune systems attacking some of its own healthy cells. Maybe it's the genetic part of PBC that causes this autoimmune response to happen - and it's an environmental trigger just sets it off.

How wonderful would be if we could truly find the cause? Everyone needs to remember that you did nothing for this disease to happen to you.
