What have you done for yourself in the past week?

Sure! It was a small group, due to the fact that there was the PBC conference in Arizona as well as the UK. We missed you all! Everything that was said echoed Dr. David Jone’s book ( i read it a second time before the conference). There were several hepatologists, along with a dietician and a psychotherapist. We were in a conference room where each took turns presenting, with a Q & A period after each presenter. Coming from Canada, and a remote coastal town, I was grateful to meet such lovely people who were all in their different stages of their PBC journey. Inspiring and hopeful would be how one would describe it.

I just can't impress enough upon all of our members to read Dr. Jones' book. It is helpful in so many ways. I love that the conference covered the psychological, nutritional, and physical aspects of PBC. They all surely play a part in taking care of ourselves both mentally as well as physically. I couldn't agree more about meeting people from all over the globe that share the common challenges with this disease. Thanks for sharing your insights.

On another note, I emailed my hepatologist vis a vis Urso dosage and he increased it this morning! Yay! So glad to have him on board!

Great job of advocating for yourself!!!! Knowing how much you should be taking can empower each of us to make sure our doctors have us on the right dose. It is always based only on body weight. Never on lab results or symptoms. Will be anxious to see how your labs respond in your future blood work. Let us know. Good for you!!!!
