I get ulcers in my mouth every few weeks. Does anyone know what causes it? And how I can avoid it? Do others with PBC have this problem?

Sore mouth
Lack of sleep & stress can do that to you. Next time you see your doctor, ask for their advice on this. Don’t think this is specific to pbc.
I’m just experiencing this 1st time and been diagnosed since 2015 and don’t if it’s associated with our condition but the 1st response I’ve had lack of sleep n a bit of higher than normal stress level for the past 2 week n it hasn’t left
I was researching this recently as I get the same. I have Pbc, acute pancreatitis, neuropathy and possibly ms). The ulcers can be related to auto immune diseases as a whole, not specifically one. Extra sleep and trying your best to stay away from germy people certainly would not hurt.
I was experiencing this as well my dentist sent me to a periodontal doctor and they diagnosed me with lichen plantus. Yet another auto immune disease.
I also have lichen plantus. It’s also an autoimmune disease. Comes with the territory. Stress brings on mine.
It is common..everyone one has mouth sores comes and goes..we tend to have more because our immune system will be weaker than normal people so we might tend to have frequent outbreaks..you need to avoid more stress, sleepless and bad foods!
Tho frequent outbreak along with other symptom can be something else check with your dr..

Hello EGieron!
I found that switching my toothpaste has helped mine a lot! I rarely get them anymore and use to get them quite frequently.
I am pasting this from google, but check this out...
A common toothpaste ingredient called Sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) can also cause canker sores. SLS is a soft tissue irritant that's also found in shampoo, soaps, and household cleaning products. Companies use it in toothpaste because it creates foaming action when we brush our teeth.
Worth a try!
Best wishes,
