I’m moving to Chantilly Virginia so bye to Kentucky after 16 years 😔🤗..

So I need a help from pbcer living around that area for good liver and endocrinologist, please!!

I’m in VA but my provider is in the Richmond area. Plus I just started with all this so I don’t know I how good she is. Hope you find someone good. I would check with the biggest hospital near you n also check the hospitals rating. God bless.

Hi I live in Maryland and I am looking for a good doctor as well. I still don’t have a definite diagnosis. Do you think your doctor is experienced with PBC? Thanks.

Yes. And that is why I go to him. He is a gastroenterologist

I see an go doc in Annapolis and I’m just not sure about things. He’s not really that concerned. He doesn’t think it’s pbc because my alp is never elevated. My lfts went up while on antibiotics but th n came back down to normal. I’m just so nervous he will miss something. I do have the positive Ana.

PBC is indicated by positive AMA

PBC I don’t think PBC is diagnosed solely on positive AMA. I believe there has to be at least two biomarkers, 1) being positive AMA and 2) being elevated ALK PHOS and/or elevated bilirubin.

Thank you so much. My liver had a mildly course texture and positive ama but no elevated enzymes except for while on antibiotics. It’s very puzzling and very scarey. No real diagnosis. I also tested positive for norovirus when this was going on. It’s a wait and see thing right now.
