Hello Ktltel.

If you received this notification via email, click on the link on your email, takes you to 'you tube' (I could not play either on this site). That is if you really want to see it....

....I watched about a minute of it, got the gist of what the guy was going to say and switched off. Personally I did not want to watch it.

Put me off when the guy mentioned it appears to be known what causes auto-immune conditions. i think it is probably unfounded and for me I don't actually trust certain sites and the information.

This is my viewpoint and I'll stick to it.

Aliphillips, Thank you, yes.. This series started two days ago. By husband and I have been watching it. Part 3 of a 7 part series is on tonight. I realize some don't want to look into this avenue of finding other help for PBC. I myself got very ill on URSO. Nauseated 24/7 and was taken off of it. So fighting the root cause Naturopathically is my only hope for now. My Liver wouldn't be sick if this AI disease wasn't attacking it. My quest for now is how to fight this AI disease instead of suppressing my immune system altogether leaving me vulnerable for more AI diseases to attack. I am currently seeing a Naturopath until I have my ERCP and biopsy on the 1st of Dec. My hope is that I can use the best of the medical treatment, as well as LDN, and the Naturopath supplementation as well. We shall see.

Hi AliPhillips. Thanks so much for posting this. Around 10 years ago I noticed I had symptoms of Reynards Disease. Inconvenient but I didn't think much of it. Then I was diagnosed with Coeliac disease around 8 years ago. Very inconvenient, but my mother has it, and I didn't think much more about it and reluctantly got on with the gluten free diet. I'm active, slim, don't smoke. drink moderately, and have what I thought was a fairly good diet, so I assumed it was hereditary and unavoidable but not really important as long as I stuck to the GF diet.

But, in July I was diagnosed with PBC, and have probably had it for a few years based on the fatigue I've had. I suddenly realised - I'm obviously a bit slow! - that these things are all autoimmune conditions and therefore linked. I've also realised that modern medicine has little to offer in the way of treatment for AI conditions. The gastro specialist I saw re PBC actually couldn't clearly advise me to begin Urso as he wasn't convinced it makes any long-term difference. And this is from a specialist about the only 'treatment' available!

I decided to take Urso as I didn't want to miss out on any possible benefits but I've since been doing a lot of reading and am becoming more convinced of the relationship between gut health and AI conditions. I've also seen a naturopath to look at improving my autoimmune system to stop more conditions from developing and to possibly improve the ones I have. I'm looking at stopping the Urso to see what effect diets and other treatments have on liver function tests once they aren't artificially masked by Urso - a drug that seems to have inconclusive positive effects on the times to transplant and to death.

This video with Dr Tom spells out very clearly the shortcomings of the medical system and the need for other approaches to stop this epidemic of AI conditions. I'll very much look forward to seeing the remaining episodes.
