DIGESTION
I have found problems swallowing things recently. I do have a very dry mouth though due to sjorens so was presuming it was that.
THX FOR REPLYING---FEEL GOOD
I have that problem alot too. I thought it was from the esophogeal varisces surgeries(banding) but the last one was about two years ago and last check there was nothing. Certain foods are worse for me, breads, potatoes, meats, and not always either. I also had a bloaty feeling and the feeling food was blocked. I started eating even smaller amts, frequently. Taking it easy on the stuff that seems to bother me the worse, chewing more, smaller bites, etc. All of which I was doing, but more so now. It has seemed to help. I also try to have some tonic water around, not only does it help some with cramping(quinine), it helps if you feel something is 'stuck', I drink a little and I think the carbonation helps somewhat. Hope something works for you, it is all so frustrating sometimes. You think you have it under control to a degree, and then something else:/ I just pray for alot of patience and strength, it works thoughts and prayers, cyndy
I seem to have it more since the esophageal banding. My esophagus burns and if I drink with a meal I full up on fluid and can't eat. I find noodles and stirfry easier to eat and to digest. Definitely small meals more often. My albumin levels were low due to insufficient protein intake so I'm supplementing that with Sustagen hospital formula. I have good days and bad days. I just hope today is another good one. I managed to eat one meal well yesterday.
Robinlori - I have the same thing. It feels like it's caught on something. I had a endoscopy 1 year ago but I didn't have the problem then. There is a procedure they can do where they put a camera down your throat only and can make sure that there isn't a problem.
No but you're right you have to eat slower, chew more...everything I don't normally do!!
