Hi does anyone suffer from scalp issues? I get these pimple like bumps that hurt terribly. Tried about every medication and shampoo.
Hi it may be psoriasis.. Its auto immune too. I have this as well as pbc..i think these conditions come in packs..i.e more than one at once
It could be a subacious cyst( look it up) or an allergic reaction ,maybe to color or new shampoo,my scalp has def. become more sencetive since I have PBC.good luck
Sounds very similar to my scalp affliction: the hair follicles are raised, itchy and usually with transient whiteheads.
My GP described it as folliculitis - inflammation of the hair follicles and prescribed a courtisone cream which soothes it temporaily - until the next bout comes along.
It's almost certainly associated with the hyperhidrosis (excess sweating) I have on my scalp and particularly along the hairline. And to cap it all - significant hairloss has given me a receding hairline.
I agree with Jpmac - with PBC, the liklihood of being susceptible to other auto-immune diseases is pretty inevitable.
