I noticed a few red dots on the inside of m... - PBC Foundation
I noticed a few red dots on the inside of my upper arm the other day. Also some very faint bruising on my wrist. PBC or crossover related?
I have never read anything like this best to see the Dr maybe nothing to do with pbc.
Doesn't sound like PBC to me, you might have bumped yourself unknowingly with regards to the bruise.
No idea with regards to the 'red dots'.
Usual rule of thumb is if you are worried seek medical advice or wait and see if goes of its own accord.
Several years ago after starting a new job I bumped my elbow at work but was just on what is called 'the funny bones' (tho' not funny at the time!). I didn't think anything about it but I ended up with a very tiny little cut that scabbed over. A few weeks later I happen to notice whilst on holiday my bone on the elbow was hot and swelled slightly as I brushed past by something. I kept an eye on it and it stopped feeling hot and a bit tender within a few weeks. Slowly it started to go down and then vanish. It was only by accident last year when I was reading a newspaper pull-out magazine that I found out what I had with regards to my elbow. Apparently it was called a bursa and I'd banged the soft tissue on that area. They tend to just go away of their own accord but occasionally you have to have them drained.
What I am saying here is only you can decide what is the best course of action.
I have red dots like little blood vessels under the skin I have other skin complaint. At moment waiting to see dermo I intend to raise this question. Also I bruise more latley xx
This is exactly what I am seeing. As it turns out, I may have crossover disease which I am told is not quite PBC and not quite autoimmune Hep, but some hybrid. Maybe it has something to do with that. I don't have a firm diagnosis yet, but will raise this issue the next time I get a chance to talk to the hep doc. Please post back here if you learn anything and I will do the same.
Hi there
I have been bruising easy for a few years and notice by even carrying shopping bags on my arms that I get like a burst blood vessel the bruising. My Gastro Doct says that is part of PBC but I would certainly mention it next time you see your Doc. That was one of the signs besides the fatigue that when I mentioned the bruising and showed him my arms he just nodded and yes you will. I have only been diagnosed for a month or so but have had symptoms for a few years and just put it down to a deficiency and never thought any more of it. How naive we are with our bodies sometimes.
Keep well and Take care
I also get bruising on my arms from carring anything over my arm. It never hurts. It looks like purplish red. They make me feel so old. They disappear in a week or two. I guess it could be worse. I am sure mine is related to PBC since I ask my doctor. He said be careful scratching since my skin is thin and I could tear it. I hope this helps you. Take care
had you been scratching where the dots were as I normally get red dots when I have and I also bruise very easily, but I thought that was all part of it.
I get bruising. Especially on my finger when carrying something heavy. I also have a funny red rash on my stomach. Doc says its not an allergy but he feels it could be to do with PBC.
