can nerve end damage repair its'self, or does it need special treatment
Please give more information. To my knowledge, nerve end damage will not repair itself. How do you know you (?) have nerve end damage. who diagnosed this? What are your B12, folate and ferritin levels and have you had an FBC (Full Blood Count) done? Have you had tests for Intrinsic Factor antibodies, parietal cell a/bodies, are you vegetarian/vegan? Are you receiving B12 injections for Pernicious Anaemia?
I go off at a slight tangent. Can nerve end damage be repaired at all. Will B12 injections promt this repair , if it is possible. How is nerve end damage confirmed, tests or symptoms? Doctors seem very limited in the information they pass over to patients. So we all end up putting one and one together and coming up with 3, hence all the questions on this page. If they educated us on the condition we would not need to ask so many questions and have so many doubts and fears. Do we not have a moral right to this informations as it is our health not theirs? I believe I have suffered nerve damage but the docotor does not seem concerned, memory is terrible , has this the capacity to improve? With B12 levels now at 750 up from 76 doc says this is in norm range. but what do I really know /understand. So many conflicting views out there and personal experience has taught me to have little faith in the medical profession, which is so wrong.

I think the answer, as always, is "it depends".
Slight nerve damage can be reversed but more serious damage maybe not.
Something like memory is influenced by many things. For instance lack of thiamine (vitamin B1) causes short term memory loss which can become permanent. I only mention that one because its one that I've come across, not because its the most likely or important - I don't know how important it is. I think all the B vitamins are involved in nerve function in some way.
