Hi I was feeling weak for probably 12 months and often breathless just talking exhausted symptoms then went to dizzy and feeling faint so I had blood tests which just showed low foilic acid .it's only 6 days of taking folic acid but I actually feel worse .at least I managed work before now I just need to sleep 😴 can just low folic acid do this ? My folic acid was 4.5.

Indeed it can. I collapsed and whisked into emergency where they found I was B12 and folate deficient. They work hand in hand so not surprising. The consultant infused me with both and I recovered very quickly. He told me to take 5mg. folic acid daily & B12 injection once every 3 months. I now inject EOD & take 5mg.folic acid every other day.
