I recently switched from cyano to methyl and I have been doing EOD, the main neurological symptoms I have left are muscle weakness and shortness of breath(anaemia like feeling).
I get panic attacks whenever I hit 24 hrs after the last injection (thankfully they are less severe now).
Before I would get a more full blown panic attack, now I just get the anxiety and impending feeling of doom when it wears off and the muscle weakness returns although slightly less pronounced.
Is this a sign that I should be doing it every day?

a ferritin level of 44 is very low, anything below 70ug and you can start experiencing symptoms, your ferritin level will definitely be a contributing factor to your anxiety, breathlessness and muscular weakness, I’d get an iron panel done if I was you
Oh my! Your post, although asking questions, has just answered a lot of my own 😊 I have suffered with severe panic attacks since 2003. Over the years, I was told it had nothing to do with my ferritin level. My level never seems to get above 20 and was told it was just ‘slightly’ low and couldn’t cause panic attacks. When you described the breathless (anemia-like) feeling and weakness, that’s always what I felt immediately before a full-blown attack.
My ferritin levels are still extremely low despite taking methyl B12 with iron tabs, but oddly enough since taking Vit D, K2 with magnesium, I haven’t had a single panic attack! I had no idea why. I didn’t know there was a Vit D connection with panic attacks. Also,, you mention the salt. I had a low salt diet before and was advised to increase it, so now I wonder was it the salt and Vit D that helped? My iron level never changes, so must be that
Vit D increases absorption of iron through hepcidin transport. K2 improves absorption of calcium into the bones and magnesium improves absorption of vit D.
Low ferritin and low calcium can cause panic attacks, vit D helps with both. Even low vit D itself can cause panic attacks.
I suggest you watch Dr Berg's videos on yt about vitamin D, they're very informative.
Also according to the iron protocol, they have a site and fb group, ferritin should be at 100 for you to feel at your optimum.
I'm glad this post was able to help you in some way.
Thank you, QianYunxi, I really did find it helpful. So strange you mentioned Dr Berg as just last night I watched one of his videos on vitamin D (23 weird symptoms of deficiency) With my ferritin never going over 20, no wonder I feel so yuk! I’ll continue with what I’ve been taking and make sure I never run out of my vit d/K2 /mag combo. I hope you find the answers and solution to your health issues 🙏
That's such a funny coincidence!☺️ I actually seem to have found the issue to why I may be experiencing the numbness. It seems like I have been taking too much B6 which can cause peripheral neuropathy too. If you search for signs B6 toxicity it will come up as a symptom.
Apparently, when you get too much B6, the body stores it in the muscles and then nerves and it acts like a neurotoxin.
I stopped taking my high B6 supplement 2 days ago and I can already see significant improvement. It's said that the detoxing process can take 1 month to few more for recovery.
Thats significantly higher than the US and EU tolerable upper limits - why take this kind of dose since its not demonstrated to be safe? Neuropathy has been observed at 100mg and EFSA recently revised their limit much lower. For your own sake please be careful and get your information from trusted sources. With regard to other posts here, Dr.Berg is not a good source of nutrition information - please check my bio for some tips on better sources.
Thanks. It's important not to jump to conclusions based on single studies or reviews claiming effectiveness or safety of a specific dose or treatment.
Upper Limits are set conservatively for safety and exceeding them involves risk which is best approached with the guidance of a registered dietitian if possible. The US National Institutes of Health and European Food Safety Authority (and similar bodies on other regions) set "tolerable upper limits" which are a safe high end of intake for most people. These are not based on single study but on a review of all the available evidence.
Although they are not perfect or infallible, if you do plan to exceed such limits you should understand you are taking a risk and may experience adverse effects. With B6 one of those adverse effects is neuropathy. Neuropathy that is not treated quickly enough may not fully reverse so this is not a risk you should take lightly without full understanding, purely for your own health and safety.
