Etsy are selling B12 vials.
etsy.com/uk/listing/1559248...
Is this legal?
They are rather expensive, and I like to know where the ampoules are coming from .
I have been going round and round trying to find B12 Hydox Depot 1 ml without success. I saw them on Etsy and thought it a bit dodgy. I wouldn’t order them myself.
Yes , I wouldn’t touch those from Etsy either . Expensive and no source mentioned . You can trust German online pharmacies . They are where most forum members get their B12 depot Hydroxocobalamin from . Here is some information for you .
The following reliable German online pharmacies ( all registered with the German Health Authorities) will deliver B12 DEPOT , single use ampoules( Hydroxocobalamin) to the U.K.
versandapo.de ( in Leipzig) Site is in German .Use Google chrome for translation . This is usually the cheapest pharmacy.
Courier cost €9.99
apohealth.de( in Munich ) Site obtainable in English . Union flag , bottom left on my device. .Also deliver world wide . Courier cost- €20.00 for 10 packets . Lower cost for fewer packets .
apotheke-marienbrunn.de( in Leipzig) Use Google Chrome for translation. Also deliver to Australia and New Zealand.
juvalis.de Use Google Chrome for translation
First of all register with the pharmacy .
When filling out the address form , you will see that the country is already filled with Germany / Deutschland. You must first change that to your country by using the drop-down list , to — Grossbrittanien , UK. United Kingdom, Vereinigtes Königreich , however it is expressed. Do this so that your post-code and the rest of your address is accepted . Otherwise , you will be unable to order , and you will be tearing your hair out !
amazon.de also sell Pascoe and Hevert . But depending on the supplying pharmacy may or may not supply the U.K. You can’t use the pharmaceutical reference numbers to order. You must use the brand names .
The following brands are obtainable .
PANPHARMA ( formerly Rotexmedica )
1mg x 1ml ampoules - b12 depot (hydroxocobalomin) Pharmaceutical refefence number 16199653. This is the most popular ampoule used by members. It is good value , but quite often out of stock . You can then opt to be emailed to be told when it is back in stock.
PASCOE B12 depot
1.5mg x 1ml ampoules Packet of 10-
reference number - 075686672
1.5mg x 1ml ampoules. 10 x 10 packets — 100 ampoules reference number 07568695
The Pascoe are much cheaper per packet if you buy the offer of 10 packets . If you inject weekly or more 10 packets would cover you. But if you inject less frequently, the ampoules may become out of date .
HEVERT B12 depot 1mg x 2ml ampoules 1 packet of 10 reference number 06078368
HEVERT B12 depot 1mg x 2ml ampoules 10 packets (100 ampoules) Reference number. 06078380
Use the pharmaceutical reference numbers to order from the pharmacies . ( but not from amazon.de)
The above brands also produce Cynocobalamin single use B12 ampoules . They are cheaper than Hydroxocobalamin , but are reputed to not stay in the system as long as Hydroxocobalamin. Fine to use as long as the patient does not suffer from the rare eye- disease called LEBERS . Cynocobalamin is widely used in the USA . I do not have the pharmaceutical reference for these ampoules .
You can see what type of B12 you are ordering by enlarging the illustrated packet —displayed on the front of the packet .
PLEASE BE AWARE OF THE FOLLOWING
Now the UK has left the EU, there is a limit to the value of goods that we are allowed to import from the EU , before tax is due. Tax is applicable if the value exceeds £135 ( roughly €158.00 ) Value does include delivery cost ! But please look everything up , because things might change . On top of that, Royal Mail charge £8.00 for processing it. .I’m not sure how much the tax is - so look it up please. A member was quite shocked at what she had to pay when she exceeded the limit . I believe that even the cost of delivery is included in the total . It was when I ordered something from the USA .
Best wishes.
Looks like they come from China by the squiggles on the labels.
Perhaps they're testing the legal water, selling direct without prescription. It will be interesting to see what happens.
Much cheaper if brought from Germany I pay under £8 for ten.
I would be a little apprehensive to buy, but any port in a storm if desperate & cant get else where.
They must be ok most things comes from China these days. ⛩ 🇨🇳
By the way, Versandapo do not seem to have Pascoe available at the moment - have already paid and am waiting for notification of delivery after being informed of delay.
I remember Narwhal10 orders at 20 - I'm now down to 7 !! Why do I always do that ? Really not sensible.
Orders at 20 ? Have you tried amazon.de they had some this morning .
Worth a look.
They’re 5mg vials? Wish I knew where from. Could be good for a super boost!
Not absolutely certain but I think it's in Korean.
Well it certainly isn't handmade, craft supply or vintage! But as they haven't actually made any medical claims they might get away with it. Looks as if they are not the only one.
Interesting
charks,
bookish has hit the nail on the head, They have not made any medical claim.
Personally, because of the labelling I most definitely would not purchase. A reliable source is the key.
I wasn't going to buy - I find oral B12 works for me. But I wondered how they can sell them in the UK when no-one else can.
FYI:
The vendor replied to this comment:
Writing on label in Chinese so difficult to know what product is English labelling would be better
with the following:
The writing on the ampoules is absolutely not Chinese, it is Korean! The labels are all clearly printed in English and clearly state the ampoules are 2ml ampoules containing 5mg of vitamin B12 Hydroxocobalamin, as the listing and packaging also clearly state in English. These are top quality pharmaceutical grade vitamin B12 Hydroxocobalamin ampoules manufacturered by Nexus Pharma in South Korea, registered with the Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Agency (KFDA) and are approved for exports. All the products go through safety and efficacy tests, so they are all certified safe to use and the quality of the products are guaranteed. I trust this clarifies thing for you 😊
Beats me why Sara is happy to explain - actually quite well - in a reply but doesn't put a fraction of that in the product listing.
Just says:
Pharmaceutical Grade Vitamin Vials & Ampoules, all registered with the Ministry of Food and Drug Agency.
But leaves the reader to guess which country's Ministry of Food and Drug Agency is meant.
I am in the US and have been purchasing this product for several months from a company in Texas. It is currently my only source for hydroxocobalamin. Cyanocobalamin is the treatment of choice here by the medical professionals, so those of us who find that type ineffective are on our own to find something else. It is working well for me. It appears to be of good quality and effective. No hesitation here with using this product.
I could not care less where it is made as long as the packaging pharmacy is registered as in german ones etc for the quality control of the product. . . . . We all know that 90% is made in China so the odds of getting anything else are pretty low. . . . . We wear chinese clothes and shoes, drive around in cars with endless chinese parts and China is by far the largest producer of vehicles in the world. . . . . They produce commercial aircraft too. . . . . There is very little that we make that they cannot make and often better rather than the cheap chinese junk we associate them with . . .
