I am currently using it - powder form - it resolved multiple weeks-long diarrhea. Found several studies in reputable journals studying high doses with success in terms of gastritis resolution. No side effects at all.

Hi Mountmuir27

Would you be willing to say which glutamine you use and from where. My mum has had terrible stomach and abdominal issues for over two years. Doctors have been as much use as a chocolate teapot. No diagnosis and treated like she didn't count or deserve treatmentat 87. She has gone down from a size 20 to a 10 and is still experiencing weight loss.

We have now got her on probiotics and digestive enzymes which have at least stopped the agonising and constant pain. However she still experiences episodes of diarrhoea. If glutamine helps then would give it a try.

Many thanks, sorry for hijacking post

Hiya, just from you saying you are using digestive enzymes, depending on where the pain is it may be worth having ur mums pancreas checked especially if the pain goes with taking enzymes.

I would also urge to have a stool elastase test which checks for pancreatic insufficiency
