Too much methylcobalamin?

The first 2.5 years I believe I was starving my body for B12 even though I was injecting 1 mg to 1.5 mg a day. How I experienced 'reversing out' was likely more severe than necessary due to starving my body of B12.

I was in the hills of Scotland in Greenock. I was hanging with two people I love and the sheep. I was sitting in a tree and the two people I love were hanging on the bank of a stream in the sun.

As a watched the raptors in the sky it came to me that if I had my gear with me I would inject. This lead me to trials of injecting more often in a 24 hour period although I started by thinking in terms of per day. This lead to experiencing feeling better instead of less worse. It eventually lead to not being on the roller coaster of starving my body for B12.

For six months I experienced marked improvement. Injecting up to 5 times a day with different forms. The improvement was somewhat steady other than two months affected by COVID.

7 +- weeks ago I did a trial of walking 5K every weekend and my performance although dismal compared to 5 years ago improved weekly. It felt like the 5K although positive caused healing to fast in that it was harder than it needed to be.

From that trial I started a new trial of 3K at a time when it felt right. I walk on the flat then up a hill then fully recover on the flat. Wind sprints for recovery. I tend to walk 1.5 on the flat on off days.

My improvement in the last 7 weeks has been steady.

I was injecting 8 +- mg of B12 of two forms in injections of 1 mg each.

I only had one form of B12 and was injecting 2 mg of methylcobalamin 4 +- times a day.

After only injecting this dose 6 times it felt like too much methylcobalamin. Made things harder than they needed to be. I think it was healing but the amount of sleep I needed was not sustainable. I switched back to two forms and in a day things settled out.

I never was OK with not living my life to the fullest and pacing my life. I went with "when the day comes I have to accept this is as good as it is going to get I would know."

So I am working now with pacing healing is the fastest way to get to where ever it is I am going.

I am OK with I was injecting too much methylcobalamin and needed to go back to my former regiment. However it is possible that it was overall positive for my healing.

I have established by trials that 1 mg of methylcobalamin 5 +- times every 24 hours is not adequate for my body. Having established that 2 mg every 5+- times every 24 hours is too much leads me to wonder if what is the correct amount is somewhere in between at least to start.
