Can't get treatment

Iv been trying to get doctors in my new area to take me seriously but can't even get an appointment.Been trying for over 12 month and still haven't had a real appointment.

I'm struggling every day I jow know its not normal to be this tired or be as Dizzy and weak as me and the doctors and work are just telling me to exercise or its my age but I know it's more than this.

I feel sick every morning and break out In a nausea attack which sometimes puts me on the floor.

I live alone and feel so isolated I don't know what to do.

Iv started taking multi vitamins I vary my diet but its like no one believes me.

Iv got bloatedness now added to the list felt full even when I don't eat. My tummy has swollen that I have gone up 3 dress sizes but apparently i need to exercise

Hi Sk3bebb,

I am really sorry to read. You are not alone. We are a community. This story is so common. I have experienced it myself.

Hopefully, others will be along soon. Sorry, it’s been a long day for me. I’ll reply tomorrow with hopefully some pointers.

I just wanted you to know that you are heard.

Hi,

I'm sorry to read that you're having such a hard time. I left detailed replies on the thread above yours "Grandmother, 88 being denied B12 injections".

It might have some useful info for you.

I've recently been diagnosed. After several years of symptoms and several useless doctors appointments it was finally picked up by a nurse practitioner during an NHS Health Check. I don't know if you would qualify for one of those? Might be worth asking. I know its frustrating but you have to keep trying!

Some people have to resort to going to emergency departments when they cannot find a way to see a doctor. I hope you find someone to take you seriously soon!

If you are bloated and swollen to that extent you need to insist on an appointment. My gp sent me for a colonoscopy within two weeks of my appointment with her after checking my stomach etc after I had experienced bloating like yours. Nothing was found luckily.

Hi Sk3bebb,

Apologies, I did not reply yesterday. I knew I had to but due to brain fog, I could not remember your handle (name). Like a fool, I was trying to find you but to no avail.

Sleepybunny has given great advice. However, reading your post again, you have also popped some information on your biography.

So, let us get down to brass tacks then :-

1) I still haven't had a real appointment, in 12 months.

2) Dizzy and weak.

3) nausea attack which sometimes puts me on the floor.

4) I live alone.

5) My tummy has swollen that I have gone up 3 dress sizes.

Please access Out of hours GP.

Please use common sense, NHS 111, if your condition worsens .

Obviously, Emergency Department or paramedic ambulance for severe illnesses.

Not a doctor. 👩🏽‍⚕️
