Hi! I’m from Windsor, Ontario. I am not diagnosed PA but was definitely deficient. I haven’t had any luck in finding anything over here myself. Hope you have more luck.
It is very difficult to get a diagnosis of Pernicious Anaemia, because the test, called the IFAB test ( Intrinsic Factor Antibodies test ) shows up negative for about 50% of P.A. patients . Doctors are very ignorant on the subject , Ww are rather on our own .
I suggest that you read a book by our Chairman Martyn Hooper . on the subject . You can buy them from Amazon USA . Also a book by Sally Pacholok called “ Could it be B12 “ . All very revealing . Best wishes .
Thank you! I will look into the book by Martin Hooper. The book by Sally Pacholok was the first thing I purchased. Even before my vials of b12. Lol.
The line I kept getting from the doctors was that it didn’t matter as the treatment would be the same. I just kept saying “but it matters to me!” It’s impossible over here.

Hi again,
I found a few links that might be worth a look when I searched online for
" Ontario B12 deficiency guidelines" and
"Canada B12 deficiency guidelines"
Hello! I am diagnosed with PA and I’m in Canada (Ontario). I’m happy to chat as I think we live close.
Also, there is a fantastic PA/B12 deficiency group on Facebook run by a Canadian from Belleville Ontario who has been extremely helpful to me.
Edit to add that I’ve had some fantastic doctors helping me with this diagnosis - I can share this info with you as well
The list of docs from a Canadian will be priceless! Bluebell to the rescue.
Welcome.
Well I'm in the US and this is my go to for support and info. PAS is in UK but is the best source of support and info I have found thus far (2 years).
I get my b12 from canada (lucky you!) or germany. germany if I want a higher dose. Canada will get you from ground zero back to on your feet.
I get my b12 and needles here:
