B12 or P.A. diet?

Hi it’s me again!

So l had my B12 jab a week ago after leaving it too long in between and feeling awful for a few weeks, 48hrs after the Jab I was back to myself and feeling brilliant so pleased!

Friday evening I had a treat of a glass of white wine and a bar of chocolate and Saturday morning I woke up with a headache and feeling awful which has lasted till today and feeling like I did before my jab!

What I don’t understand is why I can feel so bad just because of what I drank and ate, am I missing something, is it to do with my gut? I would rather ask you guys as I don’t like to read up about it to much as it makes me more anxious!

Thanks again x

I would just avoid alcohol and chocolate until a while longer. Or only have one treat??

Alcohol can leave you dehydrated

Sugar without a complex carbohydrate will bring blood sugars down.

My guess is you had a drop in blood sugars.

I know If this happens to me I get a headache and feel symptomatic.

Even if a meal a bit late or I've had a biscuit not backed up.

Tedious but don't think anymore than that in my opinion

Thanks Nackapan, yes think I’m just going to avoid it from now on it’s just not worth feeling awful for the small amount I drink x

I don't know how old you are but for the five or so years I was going through menopause I had to give up wine, chocolate, coffee, tea, and fermented foods. If I drank just one little glass of wine I would get hot flashes and a headache. I would feel like I had a hangover the whole next day. I am happy to say I seem to be over the worst of it. I can have a glass or two of wine and it's not a problem.

Thanks MoKayD, I luckily sailed through my menopause 5 years ago so I can’t blame it on that 😜 x

I can eat chocolate if it doesn't have a lot of added ingredients. Green&Blacks milk chocolate is okay for me. I need the milk with it but not nuts etc. I seem to need very simple combinations.

But if I ever eat chocolate in the evening it disturbs my sleep, so I have it earlier.

Hi ForViolet, thanks for replying, yes I think I may change to Green & Blacks chocolate if I get desperate for a piece and not eat it in the evening ! X
