Crash after shot?

Does anyone crash and need to sleep a few hours after the shot? It only happens sometimes so I’m wondering if it happens when I miss the muscle?

On the early days It often ' knocked me for six

Headaches tinnitus set off too.

I find no difference to IM or sc .if anything the sc is sloer to go into my system.

The very few occasions I've felt 'wired' was after a IM b12

I doubt it's your technique.

I don’t think so I have p.a and have been s.I a long time now and nearly always the day I do my I.M shot I get the best nap for two or three hours,,that’s the only time I nap and it doesent work at night only after my lunch time shot.I just enjoy that nap it could be for me because the stress of doing the shot is over and I can relax again.Best of luck x

I normally need a couple of hours recuperation after my shot, I assumed the longer I had the injections the better I would feel. Sadly 15 years later I still need my 2 hours sleep. Then when it’s time to go to bed I am extremely wired.

ah same!! I think its probably the liver dealing with the meds and then the effects happen after

I am beginning to dread the injections - they play havoc with my nervous system… unable to concentrate, incredibly nervous/anxious, mind racing and legs tingling, twitching and electrical current sensation -1 week later and I’m much better…Methylcobalamin and Adeno sublingual drops seem to work pretty well for me but know I need to get injections too 😩

It’s called adenosylcobalamin

Some feel no difference between the different forms. Some of us feel marked differences. I have tried all three via injections and I react differently.

What form is your injection?

Hydroxocobalamin - definitely can’t tolerate in large doses so I’ll stick to the sublinguals…

Is there a reason you aren't sourcing methylcobalamin injections to try that, if you feel good with the methylcobalamin sublinguals?

(I felt horrid with methylcobalamin, even in small amounts, but everyone is different.)

I’ve not tried Litatamon - is it possible to get methylcobalamin ampoules for injections?

Yes.

Someone will chime in with a trusted supplier.

Naturopaths here in Canada source methylcobalamin for their injections, even though cyanocobalamin is used at our doctor's offices.

You also might consider micro amounts for injections, over multiple times - experiment there.

Have you ever tried to go a long time only on sublinguals? I am assuming that your emoji on that point meant you could not go without injections without your symptoms returning/getting worse.

All the best to you. Hope you find an effective solution.

Thanks Litatamon - I’ll do further research to find out about Methylcobalamin…

It’s been a weird 11 months tbh

I initially went to the doctors in October 2020 complaining about a sore tongue, tinnitus and muscle twitching in legs - came back B12 deficient so put on injections & I’ll never forget the day of the first injection cos the hour after the injection I was an anxious, nervous, muscle tingling mess - it knocked me big time and I’ve not been as well as pre-injection since (I’m hoping it’s reversing out)…

Ever since then I’ve probably had 40 injections (average of 1 a week) and it’s gotten worse and not better every time I’ve had the injection for a week and then it seems to calm down for a few weeks then it starts flaring up and I need an injection again - a vicious cycle…

On another note, I get really annoyed when I read the standard line put on certain Facebook groups to inject EOD, take 5mg Folic acid and source B complex - that is based on zero evidence-based research and IF others get the reactions I do from the injections then it’s incredibly dangerous and worrying…

So in summary, I guess my route to future success is try the methylcobalamin injection - see how that goes and then take it from there BUT the sublingual I’ve been taking for the past month has definitely helped me - hope you get well and wishing you the best of luck on your journey 👍🏻

When I first started having B12 IM injections it used to make me feel dizzy and not very well but after 33 years I suppose my body is so used to it. I used to get a rush the following day and would have more energy but that doesn't happen now. I have the jabs every 4 weeks. I certainly know I need them the week leading up to the jab. I get so tired -more than usual- foggy mind and more forgetful and clumsy.
