I had this earlier this year. It was very disconcerting and I’m not entirely sure what caused it. However, I was going through a bit of a stressful time and once I was through this it subsided. Have had an occasional mild episode since but if I make efforts to relax and improve my sleeping habits it seems to pass so I’ve put mine down to stress. It’s a horrible sensation though and difficult to ignore as it was there constantly. I remember I went for a couple of massage sessions too which helped
