My daughter had her appointment by telephone.

She asked about having b12 injections 2 monthly rather than 3 monthly.

His reply was some people seem to need more but this could be psychological. You can store b12 for a year.

He then dsud she could try 2 monthly b12 injections?? Where does this year come from?? This is a professor/consultant head of team. So am I right in thinking if you cant absorb b12 you cannot store it? Why would any of us need injections more than yearly if you can store it? Where is this coming from ?

It comes from the original BSH guidelines for B12 treatment during the covid-19 lockdown. They were written by a tea boy and replaced with new ones after the PAS chatted with them.

At the bottom of their home page - pernicious-anaemia-society.... - is an option to sign up for email news.

I also have a several google alerts - google.co.uk/alerts - for new stuff that appears on the web.

Okay thankyou.

I wasn't aware of that.

Much easier to get alerts and emails.

I've said the same, wouldn't it be great if we did only need one injection a year......that lasted a year....

I'm fed up of arguing this 'can store for a year' thing....it's like banging your head up a brick wall 🙄
