Just a quick question: I've been self injecting with B12 after finally giving up on GPs and 'specialists' (I also self treat for Hashimotos for the same reason).
I've been on loading doses (every other day) and have just done my 6th. The numbness and tingling in my hands and feet seem to be slowly improving but not completely. I had these symptoms for just over a year before taking matters into my own hands. I've had a clear MRI scan.
In other people's experience, how long does it take for symptoms to go away? I'm aware that some say they felt better after their very first injection. Is it usual for it to take a few weeks or longer on loading doses?
You should keep up with the 'every other day' routine until you stop noticing any improvement in the symotoms.
They stopped my injections in 2012 and refused to resume them. So potentially 8 years... I'll keep on with the loading doses until my symptoms improve. Hope yours do too.
After 14 months of treatment I am very much better but still have numbness in my feet and awful balance but I was very depleted and had been symptomatic for a number of years.
