You guys have been of great help last 4 months in the time of great despair. I was diagnosed with b12 deficiency on 11th of Nov 2019. After much of struggle last 3 months I feel 95% recovered physically. I can function well physically and don’t have much complaints except one- memory and cognition. I am better than i was before 2 months. I wanted to ask you guys who have been through it, what are the steps that helped you in recovering cognitively. I am student and having difficulties with cognition and memory. Though i seem to improve day by day, I wanted to ask you all your experience regarding cognition and mental performance.and how long it took you to recover.
Thank you in advance

I've gone from standing at Victoria tube station, not having the faintest idea why I was there or where I was going, to being about as forgetful as friends of my age. That's over the last few years.
I don't think there is much you can do to help, just allow time to work.
Hi, yip, memory and cognition, which I now call brain fog after joining this group, is still a problem for me two years on. It has got vastly better but even at work if I am writing a report, I have to think of a certain word that I need. I notice a difference when I am tired too. I can certain cope day to day though but it is finding words to explain things verbally and written that annoy me the most. I have only recently bought sublingual B12 and started giving a squirt under my tongue before meetings etc. Just as an extra boost. I think it helps to a level. But as mentioned, I am vastly better than the early days. Wishing you well psawant
I can feel your pain. But please hang on there, it does improve. Its my 5 th month, and to be honest i feel much better, my cognition and memory has also improved immensely. But make sure to inject yourself with b12 at least the loading doses and few doses per week for two months at least. Hope you will feel good soon. It usually takes 4 months to start feeling much better. Please hang on there you will be back the way you were. No worries
