Hi All, can you please help . I have B12 deficiency and I'm on hydroxycobal weekly for the last 6 months. I have troublesome muscle cramps and twitches . Is there something I can do to stop? Will it ever go away for good.

Thanks

Have you tested your potassium levels and other vits. And minerals I would ask for a blood test to eliminate other deficiencies.

Thank you for replying , Nackapan.

I'm already taking centrum multivitamin multimineral. and methyl folate 400 mg.

You think ideally I shouldn't be getting any cramps if my potassium levels are adequate?

It was just a thought. Magnesium ,potassium. dehydration and lack of circulation can be causes.

Obviously there are many more causes that a doctor should check out.

Look at food rich in thses minerals to too up your multivitamin??

I get them more in a headache when I'm too still for too long.

I also got ski ness and achy legs with lower ferritin levels.

Put that on your next bloods as well

I had these all the time, all over. I year of b12 injections and rarely get them now. I was also deficient in vit D and have been taking supplements which may have helped.

Many thanks Showgem, for taking the time to share this information. It was such a relief to know that they eventually stop.

Have an iron panel drawn. Iron deficiencies will also cause these symptoms.
