Hi, I’m new to the page. A few months ago I was diagnosed with pernicious anemia for my b12 deficiency and was put on the tablets for 3 months, I had another test that revealed my results were even lower at 108. I’m now being given 6 injections over the next 2 weeks before having an injection every 3 months. I’ve had no side affects as of yet apart from the tiredness but after injection number 4 today I’ve been sick, my heads banging and my heart is racing like mad. Is this normal and should I be worried?
Many thanks
Von

Hi V-on it is not uncommon for some symptoms to get worse and for some "side effects" after starting the Vitamin B12 injections however with having "Been sick and heart racing like mad" I suggest you speak with your doctor or nurse about these side effects.
Hi, I was wondering the same thing. I've been dealing with PA symptoms for 6+ years. My treatment has been very inefficient until I found this group. I was never put on loading doses but on tablets even with neurological symptoms. Than on a cyano injection once monthly which barely worked. Than switched to MethylC. Inj. for a year which ended up being super expensive and the ones I purchased ended up being expired, unknowingly to me. I got so bad I thought I had MS. Now Hydroxocobalamin injections. Im finally doing loading injections and they seem to be working, but me too I've felt unwell in a different way since. Head aches, muscle pain, nerve pain, I am constantly sore everywhere. I have blisters in my mouth that just won't go away. My hands and feet are just painful and swollen. My tongue and mouth hurt. I've had heart pains off and on with a racing, thumping heart too. I've been on loading injections just over a week. I don't know about you, but I almost feel like I did once upon a time when I first started getting sick.
