My reason for having this January test is that I have restless legs now. Gp gave me a prescription for Respirone after getting the "Normal" result supposedly. I fear he is withholding the actual details of the results.

Ps to Serious Memory Loss update
Have you had Ferritin tested ? If low it would be advisable to have a Full Iron Profile done. Oxygen is transported in the blood by sticking to iron in the red blood cells. Low Iron can present in some cases of RLS ...
Hi Marz, Thks for coming back. Well, I have no details of what was tested in this last test cos all that report listed was only Normal Normal Normal as I posted lastly. However, 2 months ago on my Medichecks test Ferritin was 71.3 ug/L 13.00 - 150.00
Folate (serum) 7.13 ug/L. 3.89 - 26.80.
Surely, he should have given the breakdown, presuming he will have it? Also I have tablets now for the RLS but not inclined to take them. Would rather look at the root of the problem???
Ferritin looks fine. Folate better mid range I have read ...
Thanks Marz, karyl, and Jan. After serious words I have been given proper transcript of results.
B12 609 ng/L (170 - 730) high figure cos I had b12 injection which skewed results
Ferritin 72 ug/L (10 - 290),
Folate 16.8 ug/L (3 - 19)
I did not want to take Ropinirole for RLS cos side effects listed r dizziness and confusion. So ruling that out cos of my mild cognitive impairment diagnosis. How can I increase the ferritin if it Wld help the iron situation? Wld further b12 help?
Your results look OK as mentioned above. However Ferritin is stored iron so your iron in the blood could be low. A full iron Profile could reveal more.
Your results are legally yours so you should be given them without serious words - Data Protection ruling.
Have you tried Magnesium ? Most of us have low levels. VitD ?
Thks Marz, what Wld the iron profile look like? I may have that amongst these results I got yesterday and I just can't identify it. I see two items with an ! Beside them.
!Mean corpusc. Hb. conc. (MCHC) 314 g/L (315 - 360)
!Platelet count 392 10*9/L (160 -370).
The heading on result sheet is "no further action " beside GPs name.

I would speak with your Doc as your MCHC is below range - but only a little. Hope the links are helpful. Labtestsonline is a good website for explaining tests - but is American so measurements can vary but the Abbreviations are global !
When my legs start to feel restless and achy I start taking magnesium supplements. It works for me.
