Please could anyone tell me what my results mean

B12 265

Folate 9.83

We need to know the units and range, especially for the B12. The folate looks OK.

Your result should be given something like this 265 pmol/L (185-600)

I have looked at the results and it's 265ng/L [ 211-911

That’ll be in the grey area. Low enough so that you might be suffering from a deficiency. What are your symptoms?

I am lethargic, but I do take meds for other health issues, so will have a word with my Dr. As Gambit said "other meds could affect my absorbing B12 "

Reading my results again I suppose my 265 level is within range, hence "no action required "

Are these results from your GP - may be worth talking to GP (or might be more useful to talk to pharmacist) about any drugs you are taking and whether they could be affecting your ability to absorb B12.

You can find a list of symptoms of B12 here, though should be noted that they also overlap with a huge number of other conditions

Yes I only get my blood tested at the surgery, I think I will talk to my Dr. first, that will be a start, and see what he says, although on the b /test report It did say " no action necessary"

no action - is likely to be a comment by the lab - it means that B12 deficiency isn't the most likely explanation for what is going on.
