So tired

Hello to you all, could anyone give me advice I had my last injection on the 3rd and have now noticed a serious pattern of events. The day after my injection I can't get up in the mornings and over the following 3 weeks I get extremely tired in the mornings and have to go back to bed and sleep for an extra 2/3 hours till I start to pick up again. My Dr has never asked how it makes me feel or taken anymore bloods for this condition since been diagnosed 3 years ago. I have a number of other illnesses but reading back through my diary I have just discovered that this always happens the day after my injection. Can anyone please shed any light on this and is it normal. I hope yous are all well as you can be and many thanks for reading this. X Kitty

Hi, I had issues after my first series of injections. More pain and burning with my Neuropathy symptoms. It happened each time for about 2 days duration. After maybe 3-4 times it subsided. I know your symptoms are different but it might just be how your body reacts.

Hi Kitty,

I can only speak of my own experience which sounds very similar to yours, I also started treatment 3yrs ago.

After my injection I would go home and sleep for hours, also had to drag myself out of bed for the next few days. I couldn’t understand it as people I know said they felt recharged after their injection but I felt shattered. Turned out my friends were b12 deficient for various reasons but did not have autoimmune PA.

I read on here that folic acid levels and iron were important as they are needed for the b12 to do its work, once I started taking a good multi vitamin with iron I no longer shattered after my injections. 🙂

That is the same as me Dawn after I get over the first 10 to 11 days I am a lot better it's just I seem to loose my life for them days as I am so tired and sore. Just knowing other people have the same problem makes me less worried and I don't mean that in a bad way x
