Supplement advice please

Hi

Do I need supplements?

B12 236ng/L (180.0-914.0)

Ferritin 58ug/L (11.0-307.0)

Folate 7.3ug/L (3.1-19.9)

GP says all is fine no further action!

If so what supplements and how much?

I have UAT & Hashimotos taking 75mcg levithyroxine daily

Symptoms include

Dizziness on a daily basis

Pins & needles in fingers

Brain fog

Blurred vision and spots in right eye

Internal tremor with visable shaking in hands on a morning

Really tired even after a good nights sleep

Just noticed palpitations last few days

But it’s the dizziness that bothers me most!

Any advice welcome next GP appointment 1st Dec but don’t hold out much hope took 3 months to persuade him to do tests!

Ask for a referral to a neurologist for your pins and needles.

Hi sarahstevo1974. Your b12 is a bit on the low side of normal. There a so many docs that don't pay attention unless it's below. A lot of things here. Have you been taking b12 supplements before your bloodwork? That could change the reading. I would ask to be retested and add intrinsic factor. That tells if you have a b12 absorption problem or if its a dietary thing. The other medical problems could be causing you symptoms as well. Personally, I feel the same as the Eastern Countries. B12 shouldn't be below 300
