Hi I have been having VB12 injections for three years.

My last injection was 01/08/17 at the same time I had my blood done and the result came back as VB12 being 2000 can this happen?

That is not at all surprising or anything to worry about as you cannot overdose on B12. It is generally considered unnecessary to test serum B12 once on injections unless the result comes back very LOW.

Please ask to have your Folate level checked

yes, it is almost inevitable. The amount of B12 you get in a shot amounts to about 400xRDA - the recommended daily amount- so you have been filled up with a lot of B12.

This doesn't necessarily mean that you are okay as some people respond to high serum B12 levels by shutting down the mechanism that allows B12 to move from your blood to your cells - you are okay as long as your levels of B12 are so high that they beat the reaction but once they dip below whatever the individual tipping point is then you have a functional B12 deficiencies - plenty in your blood but none at cell level.

2000 is just the point at which the particular assay method used can give an accurate measurement. My levels need to be permanently north of this and the same is true for many members of this forum.
