Hi guys...my name is Frances and I've just been diagnosed with PA with neurological involvement 5wks ago.... I have a great doctor who has totally understood my condition and the need for every other day injections after the initial 6 loading ones...although my doctor is great 😀... I'm in the dark about a lot of facts...like the BNF say I should have 6 loading injections...then every other day until there's no improvement...so I'm a bit confused....how do I know when there's no improvement????....do I stop the injections to see how I feel...do I continue until I feel better...so I'm thinking if I continue, then I'm keeping the symptoms at bay... I really am confused 😳😳...if anyone can help it would be very much appreciated.....🤓

have you made a list of symptoms.

until no further improvement means that - if you aren't feeling any benefit to the symptoms from the loading doses then taht would be when to move to maintenance doses - which would be 2 monthly per BNF but that may not be enough and you may find that symptoms return before that date.

If you had anaemia and that was causing some of your symptoms then that will take a a few months to improve but you should feel some changes in other symptoms quite quickly.
