Hello Lucieb01 :p

That`s because they just love to treat symptoms when they don`t know the cause. It Shows They Care. It ensures that , eventually, you WILL get something identifiable wrong with you and they will be able to "cure" it by telling you to stop taking PPIs. This happened to my husband.

(I was given a prescription for some, in the same circumstances as you, after an endoscopy, but tore it up.)

If nothing else, PPIs will stop you digesting your food properly including all the vitamins and minerals. People get prescribed them for years in spite of contraindications. And yet, they still have the same problems they went complaining about.

Yes, I know, I have a shocking attitude to the Medical Profession, borne of long experience.

Sorry `bout that.
