OH FOR A DOC MARTIN!!

very short post as that is all I am capable of at the mo then will try and find energy to get dressed.

After awful GP phone call yesterday all I can say is 'Oh for a Doc Martin'. Will explain later if i can summon up the wherewithall. Just had to get that off my chest and out of my head.

If my SOH deserts me too I shall wither up and die.

I can, believe me. I have sat and cried so many times in the last few months and if anyone asked me, I would have to say I didn;t know why I was crying. Sometmes I would just stop because I'd think, why are you crying, you need that energy to breath. It's horrible, and I've said the same as you many many times,, Doc Martin may be scared of blood, but he never misses a trick and sees things other doctors don;t see! I wish we all had a Doc Martin xx

I know exactly how it feels to have a GP who is less than sympathetic...glad you got it off your chest...and so sorry that you're feeling so awful at the moment.

Funny, but I watched an old episode of Doc Martin a couple of days ago (more settee work!) and thought exactly the same!

Hang on to that sense of humour...sometimes it's all that we have left!

Please know that people here will be thinking of you and looking forward to hearing from you when you feel up to it.

I really hate to think that you've been reduced to tears...it's so difficult when feeling so ill and then having a GP stamp on you.

But sometimes a good sob really does help, so sob away and know that we're all rooting for you and sending HUGH hugs xx

Often wondered what would happen if there was a Doc Martin episode that focused on B12 ... whether it would help to raise the profile etc.

If he would find it and treat it like it should, maybe...There was an episode on House MD where in the end they foudn out the girl had B12def (due to a huge tapeworm) They gave her one injection and she walked out of the hospital the next day. Ha! Right....

On 'GPs: Behind Closed Doors' (channel 5 - reality not fiction) there was an episode where a patient was diagnosed with low B12. Usually there's follow up of cases and a small feature at the end telling us what the outcome was for them, but I noticed the programme never came back to the B12 patient. Unless it happened in a subsequent episode which I missed.

Hy Frodo and all my friends who sent kind words of comfort and encouragement. It really did help. Still feeling low and sad really but.....

Funnily enough I usually watch 'GPs Behind Closed Doors' but must have missed that episode. I watch because I just think how 'idylic' it seems at times then I pinch myself and remember it's all done for tv and we are not seeing the nitty gritty of their practice. Some lovely old characters on there though.

If I could get registered with them may be they could help me too! LOL! However, pinch myself again and back to reality.

It would be really interesting to know what happened to that case though.

I know - I watch it thinking either 'that would never happen' (instant referral to a specialist and lots of tests) or 'the usual' - ibuprofen for everything.
