please everyone with questions regarding their B12 problems needs to look at the website B12d.org and ask their questions to the experts. Dr Chandy has studied B12 deficiency for years and this site is a mine field of information.

I can vouch for both the helpfulness of the website (although I find it confusing at times to navigate) and for Dr Chandy himself. He has been an absolute Godsend in my case, and without his guidance and advice I would not be receiving the treatment I am today. Almost 12 months after being diagnosed (against my GP's wishes as he refused to even test me for a B12 deficiency for 3 months), and presenting with neurological symptoms from the outset, two weeks ago I finally persuaded my GP to offer me weekly injections. I am still in shock, as I think is he! Dr Chandy has, on several occasions, explained things to me that I was finding confusing, pointed me in the right direction to find information to use to argue my case with my GP and he has given me the strength of conviction to continue to fight for what I knew I needed. If only there were more like him.
That's weird because I didn't get a particularly good response from the site. When I emailed them I didn't get Dr Chandy, I think I got the site's moderator. I also got a generic reply of the 'we can't give medical advice' variety, which was ironic, given what the site is there for. It was no help whatsoever.
Hugo Minney can answers question for you and he has a phd in the history of b12 deficiency, I believe. He is very knowledgeable. This new site is a little difficult to navigate but I can assure you it is worth finding the information. Please don't give up on the site as they truly understand the problems b12 deficiency sufferers experience and is an absolute haven. I hope you find the answers you are after as we all need support through these difficult times.
