I would expect to wait up to 10 days, of course it may vary from lab to lab, but 7 to 10 days on average

Hi Leilanilea,

I had mine through in just 3 days, but htat was rushed because mu B12 was so low.

as nobodysdriving said, it really does vary from lab to lab.

If you had it done privately you can call the lab for an update any time.

If you had it done via the NHS, it is worth giving the docs a call after 1 week, and ask them to chase up the results, they can get lost in the internal mail.

don't forget to get a copy of your test results - until I joined HU I accepted the message from the receptionist of " its ok" - but now I know you are entitled and the "it's OK" can sometimes be very wrong.

best of luck

Big gentle hugs,

M

Thank you, Mrs. Somerset! I'm in the U.S. and have access to my labs online, which is great. Routine labs are sometimes available in hours or same day, but I wasn't sure about this test. I appreciate your advice re keeping copies, and I do so. (My Mom was born in England, Plumstead).
