I haven't got anything else wrong with me as far as I know but then again my 1st B12 test came bk at 108 in 2004 and it took them till last December to tell me and that was only because I went to the docs with dizzy spells. I don't hold much faith in my docs anymore as you can imagine. I'm due to see the nurse in March for my next jab so I may ask her to do me a blood test to test for a range of things.

It took me many many injections before I started to feel better. I had my loading doses, plus a few extra's and have been on 8 weekly shots since. I had what I thought was a constant cold also, but eventually realised it was sinus problems or allergy's. Whatever it was, it eventually went away after regular shots. My theory is low b12 can leave you more susceptible to allergies etc...I've never had so many rashes, hives, sinus problems etc as during the period before my regular shots started and during the early stages of treatment. in regard to feeling more tired...a lot of people complain of feeling worse. I've heard a lot of responses saying that this is the body repairing itself and it can leave you with more aches and pains and of course weariness!! My Docs missed my faulty B12 test in 2004 at a reading of 108 and only saw it when I went to the docs in December complaining of dizzy spells. So I've been walking round for nearly 10 years with this and only really had one cold a year I just hope it's like you said and it's my body just trying to repair itself.

I Would ask for a referral to the Endocrine Dept , but before that put down in writng a full history of your medical condition ,and any details relevent in your family history because most of this is hereditory .

I suspect you may have more underlying Auto Immune damage.

Get as much information from your records ,blood tests with ranges so that the Consultant has every thing to work with .

There is a family history my sister also has it and so did my nan! This is the only thing I'm aware of that I have wrong with me apart from being a carrier of haemophilia but it doesn't affect me. But I will definitely take your advise and ask to see a specialist.
