Healing Parkinson's Naturally

Hi. I just joined the group. I am from Canada. Have had PD symptoms for almost ten years. I do not take any meds. I am on a journey to heal this naturally through diet (ketogenic diet), exercise (walking & martial arts), lifestyle (living in the present moment) and Body Stress Relief. Is anyone else doing this naturally and if so, what is your experience?

Hi Fredphillips,

I am in USA have had PD symptoms for six years and never took meds. Have been following your natural program totally. Recently added coconut oil and wheatgrass to my regiment. Feeling improved but still have a long way to go. Wishing you and everyone good health and happiness.

PD is such a complex disease I am unaware of any cure in any form but you may slow it down and provide relief, exercise particularly if enhanced by multitasking is the only proven so far.Avoid Stress as it exacerbates PD.Exercise your body and mind, eat healthy, avoid stress.Be pragmatic if it works use if not try something else.

I'm 72 and have been working full time. Mucuna Pruriens keeps my affected side calm most of the time. I refuse to have sugar or processed foods in my home, and prefer to eat real food. Exersize, fresh air, sunshine, grounding, good sleep, deep breathing, an anti-stress program, and eating clean are all important. I take additional supplements and minerals.

Hello friend,I am from New Zealand but at present in India waiting for the travel doors to open to enable me to get back to Auckland. I have had PD for 6 years and was taking sinemet 100/25 mg in NZ. Unfortunately Sinemet is not available anymore so I take Syndopa 125 mg which is the same as sinemet only a different trade name. I have taken Mucana Prurien of and on with little effect. If you don't mind sharing information, can you please tell which brand and what strength M P you take and do you also take any traditional medicine prescribed for PD. Cheers and I wish you well - Chuck

I take no prescriptions. Mucuna Pruiens is a product my dr. buys and has his label put on, so I do not know the brand, and it's only available for his patients. I take 1200mg. 3x a day, and it is 98% L-Dopa. I know it is best taken with food to avoid nausea. Without knowing what dosage you took, it is hard to comment. Also the percentage of L-Dopa being 98% is very important. Some MP has only 15% and you would need to take gobs of pills. Why not take the opportunity while in India to ask those folks what their Aryuvedic and Homeopathic doctors recommend? I would be interested myself to know the answer, and would be glad to hear back from you with your feedback.
