Hi I’m new to this site, but glad to join. As background: I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2016. I began treatment in 2017 with the Agonist NeuPro. All was good for a year till I developed a reaction at the patch site. I discontinued the patch and started with 2mg Ropinirole, which was later increased to 4mg. As Ropinirole was not very effective my doctor suggested I start Sinemet and taper off Ropinirole. I have been taking Sinemet for the past year ( one 25-100mg tablet in the morning and afternoon and half a tablet in the evening) and am now in the process of tapering off the Ropinirole. The Sinemet has been very effective. The medication along with exercise have kept my Parkinson’s very mild to date. Has anyone had withdrawal symptoms coming off Ropinirole? If yes, what type? Many thanks.

I tapered off several years ago and I don't remember having any trouble. Just follow your neurologist's instructions.
