Strengthen And stretch neck

I have a theory after suffering for a couple of years from annoying inner ear fullness and weird head sensations that these are caused by misalignment of my neck. Doctors have sent me for mri, cat scan, and told me I am suffering from anxiety so have prescribed anti anxiety meds (which I declined to take because I was sure there was a physical cause).

I have been doing these neck exercises along with the diaphragm release technique I have mentioned before and I am please to say my symptoms have all but gone. My ears and sinuses feel clear and I no longer have the feeling my head is filling up with liquid and that there is a big mass in the back of my head!

Bit by bit I feel that the series of tissue bands holding my neck stiff have been snapping and I am able to move my neck freely! I suggest you try these if you have ear fullness, blocked sinuses, tinnitus, head that feels under Pressure or you feel like you can’t breathe deeply.

Here’s the link to the last exercises too. If you haven’t already tried them

Thank you for that!

I'll mention this to my sister who has a "full ear" feeling that affects her hearing to see if it helps her at all. I've had it myself, but not for years now. It is a very odd feeling that lowers your hearing capabilities and makes mid to loud sounds very annoying.

Yes it was making me feel a bit dizzy and unbalanced too as the pressure in my head kept changing. Very unpleasant. Also try number 3 on this too and stretch your neck around as far around as it can go then breathe in deeply from your stomach. Also the one on the other link where you lie on a soft ball in the small of your back and breathe deeply. You can feel the bands in your chest break and you can breathe! This and the forehead ball one above worked very well. I could feel all these little pops like rubber bands breaking in my head. Each morning they seem to grow back a little but if you keep doing it they seem to eventually give up. My head feels really light and my breathing much improved.

This is interesting. Note the picture of the scapula point a and how it connects up the neck and the talk about the bursa found in post-mortems. I feel like I have had dysfunctional bursa 😅 if there is such a thing with them swelling and leaking. No wonder the doctors think I’m mad when I try and explain my symptoms!

I also have a bakers cyst behind my knee which sounds similar.

I have released what feels like a band up to the side of my head by pressing on the scapula at that point and tilting my head to the other side

Also read natural cure For bursitis is reducing food that forms Uric acid. Looks like a familiar list

An anti inflammatory diet will help you very much with the ear symptoms

I thought I was Being very good with diet as I am very careful but we do eat a lot of tomatoes, some potatoes, capsicums eggplants so maybe they aren’t helping. I think hubby will really not tolerate having potatoes and tomatoes removed from the diet!

Those are all fine. Processed food made from corn, soy, wheat, rice, anything that comes in a cardboard box, dairy, smoked meats, things with ingredients you can't pronounce, fast food, hydrolized protein, msg, preservatives, sugar, artificial sweeteners and natural sweeteners.

What's good? Organic produce, wholesome meat, fish, eggs, nuts. And lots of h2o. Good luck my good friend!

One thing I have wondered is if some of the reason alpha Synuclein and tau proteins etc accumulate is because people’s Glymphatic system is blocked and it can’t flush out. It is supposed to work at night clearing all those little cellular rubbish bins but if the pathways are blocked up maybe the waste starts piling up. Have not seen any scientific proof of this though. Just a theory.

Perhaps that’s why yoga and qigong help.

Thank you for your thoughts. I have this problem. It gets pretty interesting with my hearing aids. I’m off to my Chiro next week and will show her these comments.

Good luck! Gosh I imagine the hearing aids magnify the feeling!

No, that's not the problem. It works in the opposite way. It's like I've got ear plugs in my ears 😅

Thank you. I have had issues with vertigo and unexplained pressure at the base of my throat for the past couple years. Had all kinds of tests with no insight. I found relief with PT. The therapist worked on that set of muscles/tendons to stretch them out and that eliminated the symptoms...until they came back, we believe, from stress. Same process...more tests, more PT and relief. I happened to see the device in the link below (I am not affiliated with the company in any way) and have been using it intermittently when my issue starts flaring up and it seems to help.

That looks very good! I also find that once I have stretched my neck it can feel very tired so I sometimes put a foam neck brace on for an hour or so. This has the added benefit of stopping me slouching over an iPad screen as I have to really stretch the back of my neck to tilt my head forward. It shouldn’t be left on too long though as it makes your neck get lazy.
