Fatigue is very challenging

My wife has been diagnosed for the past 5 years. She has incredible fatigue which only seems to be getting worse. Part of our challenge is her bathroom trips many times per night which no doubt disrupts any deep sleep. That aside she is wiped out much of the day and in bed early at night. I know fatigue is part of the challenge with this disease but this feels much more so than others I know with PK. Any comments are welcome

Initially I suffered devastating fatigue. It is not clear what caused that to lift. Seligiline helps a little.

Reducing those frequent nighttime bathroom trips would surely help. I minimize drinking any liquids for the two hours prior to bed. Pumpkinseed extract helps reduce nocturia for men, do not know if it would help for women.

Change your energy, change your life. Start with Joe Dispenza’s book, You are the Placebo. At 5 years with PD my life has become near normal and I have lots of energy. B1 seemed to help me too. I take no Pharmaceuticals.

There was a time I’d get up in the morning and be laying back down 20 minutes later, but that never happens anymore.

Some members have reported reduced fatigue or increased energy after starting on HDT/B-1 and some have reported less frequent urination, but this is only a few reports. Some have also reported better sleep.

Thiamine supplementation does help with nocturia for those who are deficient.

I would have her doctor check B12 levels. I had extreme fatigue when diagnosed 7.5 years ago and a good doctor suggested this. I had B12 shots every month for about 3 years and also took oral supplements, as my level was low. No longer need shots, but take 2000 mcg daily, chewable (as doctor said absorbed better than capsules or pills). I have my level checked yearly. Also D level as well.

She needs to see a gp re the night peeing. She must be exhausted. They can prescribe drugs etc to help. Or she might need to do some excercises etc.
