Are Topical Zinc ointments bad for Parkinson's?

Sorry, the question is probably addressed somewhere in here but for the life of me I cannot find it. I use topical Zinc foot medicines daily and something I read keeps rattling around my memory saying that it might be bad for parkinson's if absorbed into the brain. Anyone have info on that specific item? My GP says it is not toxic to the system.
