I take Dramamine when I need to for car sickness and have not had any problems with my meds. The best thing you can do is ask your doctor for advice on this.

I just went on a cruise 5 months ago and with these super gigantic ships there is virtually no swaying. Of course I guess if you are in a storm there would be, but luckily that never happened to me. I get car sick so easily but don't get sick on a big ship.

A Cruise in my opinion is the best vacation possible. I for one would be interested in hearing about your vacation plans. I favor Norwegian Cruise Line and have been on three of there cruises.

Hello Theresa,

thank you for your comment! Are you also a Parkinson patient?

I intend to go on the Europa 2, which travels in august 17 from Lisbon to Lanzarote, Madeira, Azoren to Bilbao! A wonderful trip!

I go and check my meds and hope they don^t bite each other!

This was my first post and I am very happy, someone answered me, because I felt a bit lost...

Thank you very much

Mie

Yes I too have Parkinson's. I take Sinemet and Azilect for the Parkinson's. I also take Zoloft for depression, Bystolic (a beta blocker), Miloxicam for inflammation, furosemide a diuretic, Trulicity (for diabetes), B12 shots, Vit D2, and Potasium. Dramamine when I'm nauseated and Benedryl as needed.

I think it is wonderful that you are taking this cruise. You will enjoy it very much I'm sure.

Many PD drugs for nausea and travel sickness block dopamine so you must be very careful. I was advised that Domperidone was safe.

Ask your pharmacist...they can do a cross check to assure you get what is safe for your dosage/drug combination.
