have had all symptoms of pancreatitis from alcohol I think I have had every scan for the last 26 months since intial attack even EUS they say no chronic not even the subtle changes but elastase was 220 low normal ! I’m know something happen an they say everything is fine !! I’m trying to see what I can do to keep it this way ! I’m taking all kinds a f vitamins an supplements backed by nih for fibrosis an pancreatitis !!! Need advice I k ow it was something an do t want to sit an just wait !! Clinical trials

Have you had a Endoscopic Ultrasound? I had a similar experience. An EUS will show if your pancreas is damaged.

I had EUS done in end of June showed everything normal !! I don’t understand I think I never let it heal since last one an been eating to much !! Just went to ER yesterday an lipase was 989 but ct showed no immflamtion don’t understand

I know you’re frustrated. At least the EUS didn’t show any permanent damage to your pancreas, which is good. Did the ER send you home? With a lipase level that high, it sounds like you have acute pancreatitis. You should be in the hospital receiving iv fluids, NPO, and pain management. Has anyone said anything about acute recurring pancreatitis?

I’m hoping I can manage it with my diet don’t think it totally healed from the last one months ago because I didn’t eat right an then when I was dieting it seemed to get better but then I ate Christmas way to much
