Hi community members,

I hope you are all having a good week so far!

I'm interested to know how old you were when you first started to feel pancreatic pain?  Does the pain you feel trigger any other pancreatic symptoms?

Share your experiences below to see if anyone else in the community has had a similar experience to you.

I was 24 when I was diagnosed with PC. (Pancreatitis) The pain is usually triggered by other symptoms, not the other way around. Meaning it all comes on at once or the pain begins and soon thereafter, I feel it in my back, the nausea sets in etc.

I feel it in my back too but it’s most intense in my middle/upper abdomen . I can’t lie down with it and generally have to sit up to be able to bare it a bit more. It can last anything between 10mins onwards. I generally know that if it lasts longer than 2 hours it’s not going anywhere and I’ll end up in hospital.

The pain generally sets off the nausea for me...mainly I think because of the intensity of the pain. I’d say I have a pretty high pain threshold but it gets to the point of not being able to deal with it anymore.

I remember that being doubled over pain well! Thankfully, as. I’ve said before, I don’t on the whole get so much pain now.

I find the nausea in some ways ad bad as the pain!
