Re my previous question concerning nerves fro... - Pain Concern
Re my previous question concerning nerves from back causing tingling and burning to hands. Anyone tried a course of Acupuncture.
no its probably pressure on nerve or tendon eg tendonitis or carpel tunnel.. see Gp
I had tingling in both hands with constant numbness. Within 3 days of starting Vitamin D3 (bought from Holland & Barrett-if you are in the UK) they improved tremendously! 2 weeks later I have hardly any tingling! May not help you, if yours is a different cause, but could be worth a try just in case. I know it sounds too easy, and please don't think I am minimising your problem in any way, but, as I say, could be worth a try. (unless, of course, you are already on Vitamin D!). Hope you get some relief, somehow.
Acupuncture is one of those things that either help or worsen sensations. Only way to find out is to try. TENS machine on your neck may help if you can space the electrodes far enough apart.
Hello
I have not tried acupuncture, it may work, it may not for me I,suffer from numbness and pins and needles when driving when hands are on the wheel, I have too keep banging my hands on the dashboard and that seems to clear it for a while. You need to see the faces and alarm when I do it, it wakes them up and it is a good conversation piece.
Also I suffer with my legs pins and needles, numbness and pain I use a TENS nerve block when really bad although it is awkward when out and about,Will need to use upwards of three hours for that.and change treatment patterns
Now you can get a pain pen that works like acupuncture, that may be beneficial and it can be kept in your bag or pocket and use it when required, just a thought, might be worth a try
All the best

What is your doctors diagnosis of your condition? It seems that many of those contributing on these medical conditions haven't seem a doctor or have even given up looking to the medical profession for an answer. This I can well appreciate. My condition might be resolved if i was to risk an operation to remove the nerve from contact with a vertebra. That's assuming they will agree to the procedure due to the risk.
Hello sargrith
My condition is psoriatic arthritis with osteoarthritis. My position is as always been over 30 years been under specialist care and I have been treated mostly by hospital and Pain clinics I now under a 3 months review with nurse specialist and consultants as my condition is multifasited . We are all here for support. part of any treatment is to get to know what others are up to and suggestions that we can ask our doctors I have never tried anything that would go against my doctors. So I personally always ask for advice of doctors, pain control when needed. You need to negotiate your treatment and learn different methods of treatments. i have extensive tendon damage as well
What is your condition I have told you mine are you here for support as are most on this site, are. Life can be very lonely when in pain, support is very important as is looking at others at others experience
