Please see the below message from Haruno, who is conducting research at The University of Strathclyde. If you're interested in taking part, please contact Haruno directly on the below e-mail address.
"The University of Strathclyde are looking for adult volunteers living with chronic pain to have an active involvement in the design of research on innovative chronic pain management techniques. We are beginning a research project to develop a digital application to support chronic pain care for healthcare professionals and individuals with chronic pain. This application will eventually be used in the care of chronic pain.
Voluntary involvement would entail advising the research team on the research methods planned for this project, e.g., providing feedback on best ways to approach research with individuals with chronic pain, on the wording of participant information sheets etc. Your advice would have a direct impact on how we decide to carry out this research! It would also be an opportunity to hear about the results of our most recent research on digital health for chronic pain. All of this would be done over a 30-60 minute meeting (over Microsoft Teams), with a couple of other volunteers.
No previous experience or knowledge of research or digital health is required! If you are an individual with chronic pain (of any severity and condition) and are interested in contributing to our research on care, please contact: haruno.mccartney@strath.ac.uk
Thank you!"
