Has anyone filled a malpractice suit toward there pharmacy and or the doctor? I have 2 medication I've tried in the past which had horrible side affects. I've made a list of what I take and the (name, address, birthdate of myself, and bought it to each of my doctors. I've been telling the pharmacy to quit filling them and each of the three times them doing it they tell me they fixed it. Luckily I have someone in the family that's a pharmacist at CVS and he was able to go in and delete all of my psych meds which I started having the pharmacy in the doctor's office building fill those. So few days ago they have these one month carriers I guess you would call them where each day you just tear off and open up the top and the pills were there so yesterday which was the third day of taking it I started not feeling right at all and everything's getting confusing and been in concentration isn't there so I decided to look in these packages that they have the medicine in and it has a list of the meds that are in it and they have those both medicines in it again which I would have never looked because the last time I talked to the manager at the pharmacy she said that she was going to take care of it. So is mad as I'm getting about this because it's just taking energy out of me to keep calling them I think I'm going to find an attorney and see about making a report and see where it goes cuz I can't keep doing this

I’m not sure I fully understand are you allergic to specific ingredients? What are these ingredients? What medications do you take? Sorry this has happened to you x

I'm in the UK, don't know the details of the US system, but going to law is not the way to get this fixed, you'll just add greatly to your troubles, that is if you can even get a lawyer to take on the case. You need to make the medication's effects on you clear to the prescribing physician. There are people that can help with this kind of situation called "patient advocates" in the UK, I'd think you'll have them there too, or maybe you can find someone else to help such as that family member. But this all about communication, they're not doing it maliciously, don't get into the hands of the lawyers!

I’m Canadian and I was misdiagnosed and given several medications that did NOT help my severe neuralgia BUT they did cause me terrible side effects.

I became brain fogged, I became more irritated, I gained weight, I became dry mouthed and I lost cognitive function.

I reported all of the medications and their side effects to, ‘Health Canada’.

Is there a bureau in the US or your state where you can report to?

Is there a manager at the pharmacy that an advocate of yours can talk to?

It’s utter nonsense what you’re dealing with.

Probably not your best option though I understand your frustration..ultimately we are the disease sufferers bear SOME responsibility to ensure our health professionals didn’t make a mistake after all they are human as well and quite overworked/stressed themselves due to a worldwide pandemic despite your beliefs about the COVID scam…I know as a patient with sub-20 eGFR, before I put ANYTHING in my mouth to swallow I verify it’s not nephro-toxic because I know what can happen, even though my 6/7 month ICU stay is almost 29 years ago I still have nightmares about that and it had a profound effect on nearly all my adult life…so as I say i understand the frustration but maybe a look at the patient for some self-responsibility is the best course of action here…as an aside the ER doc who was responsible for turning my stage 4 CKD into AKI in just 8 short days was within the year disbarred and lost his license to practice medicine anywhere in the world so it’ll all even out in the end…my best to you!
