Between doses of pregabalin I'm getting ill

I've been on 600mg daily for gad for 3 years and if I'm an hour or so late taking my dose I'm really ill like withdrawal symptoms, so I'm now very worried about cutting down or getting off it. It seems it just got like this slowly

Go to see your GP as you need professional advice to cut down properly. I was prescribed this Pregabalin and refused to take it as I could see this was addictive medicine . I’m sure it’s good but I read the leaflet and said to myself “ no” it’s too strong.Good luck

Yes I know all about it unfortunately, I've learnt over 10 years, its one of the vicious ones, with terrible long term side effects but it's the only drug that works on me.

I'd been taking 150 at night and 75 in the day for about 2 years. I was alarmed at the weight gain and a fortnight ago, I forgot my night time dose (watching Montalban). I decided to cut to the chase and stay off. As a retired drugs counsellor I knew I was in for a bad time but those first 10 days were a real nightmare. I still have shivers and discomfort now but because Pregabalin has only a 6 hour half life I know I'm over the worst and I'm grateful. God knows what coming off 600mg would be like! This gross drug should never be prescribed but it appears to be the only treatment

Well done that's great and brave. Yes, it does work sort of, I try not to think about coming off, I will though when I've moved house, as I've actually been on it for 10 years but not 600mg a day. I think I've permanently lost my memory and can't find words and feel I one step removed from the world but that bits okay as my bpd makes me shy away from people 😶🤐🤪

Hi, I too am on 600mg pregablin daily for about 20 years and also feel jittery when I’m late for my dose. I’m on Tramadol, Methcarbamol, Celecoxib, Natecal D3 and a weekly bone tablet. Fed up with all this pain and medication!, What is gad? Take care.

I’ve been taking pregablin for 10 yrs+ with morphine in the form ofMST. If you are considering coming off Pregablin you must only do so with the assistance of you’re GP. Hope it all works out for you.

Well i am here after reading your post i thought i had something to say However as i was about to post this big box appeared to remind me of the posting rules, and thus it did absolutely spoil the moment and the spirit of what i had to say, And therefore sorry but your story did inspire my interest and now i cant see it so i guess better luck next time, I really should not be wasting my time on using a forum with a disfunctioning format sigh so sorry

Fcuk really my friend , a big fight with the pregabalin, yeah myself also plus Dilaudid i take around 75 mg Lyrica by Pfizer / day , just recently i notice my pharmacy does also regulate my prega ??? WTF
